This week is a three man show with Russ, Adam and myself, Nathan. We started catching up on new TV that drop this month and I was super excited to talk about Star Trek Discovery, but sadly I was the only one who saw it. We move on to more recommendations from Russ and me and eventually we do some last minute gaming discussion. Also Adam and Russ is pushing hard the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse so I'll need to get on that...
Anyway, enjoy this week's show and take care!!!

Twitching
So one of the things I decided to do this new year is to stream more and maybe one of these days, get enough followers to make a few bucks to support my gaming habit. I'm still working out hiccups on my setup, because I love to make things overly complicated for me, but I think I'm getting close to a sense of stability that I am happy with.
One of the biggest hurdles for me is to keep myself engaged with the chat. You would think doing a podcast would help me talk but I have a hard time talking by myself. I'm one of those guys who can go all day and not say a word when I'm home alone. If it weren't for my dogs, I could probably go on days and not say a word.
Basically, I want to focus on the lesser known titles and more obscure games and consoles, while also playing games that I love. I attempted a 3DO stream, a few weeks ago, and it was a disaster because, God those games are not fun to play, but I don't want my channel to be just stupid shit no one cares about, so I'll probably play some of my childhood favorites and also document a few projects I'm working on like building a custom "Buriki One" joysticks and a new Neo-Geo joystick.
Anyways, I'm looking for some feedback and maybe a couple of follows or fifty.
So check out my Channel over on Twitch. it's time to break out of my comfort zone with video games.
Enjoy my rusty playthrough of the original arcade board of "Rival Schools: United by Fate."

Just a Little Something About My Mom
Sometimes my Korean Mother just surprises me with random pop culture knowledge that makes my tiny mind explode. One of the first time she shocked me was when Karma Chameleon came on the radio and she started singing along. If you know my Mom, she never shown any signs of caring about American music, it's all about hymnals and old timey Korean ballads that just makes me want to slam my head into a wall, so when she said she loved Culture Club, I just had to laugh and hug her because that's awesome.
Last Week, during our early Thanksgiving Supper, Mom randomly asked me about Mazinger Z. I just paused and asked her, "How do you know about Mazinger Z, 엄마 (Eomma: Mom)" Her reply was,"What are you talking about? You use to love that show when you were a kid when we were in Korea and I bought you the big robot toy of Mazinger Zed. I use to find the flying fist randomly when I cleaned the apartment. Nathan, that was one of your favorite shows." And then she gave me a quick synopsis of the show.
I have zero recollection of ever watching the show, but I do remember that awesome toy. It was made of that really cheap soft plastic and both fist fired and only the arms and head moved. God, whatever happen to that thing? I think this is why I get super excited and nostalgic when I hear the old show theme song. Just hearing my Mom going on about Mazinger Z just made me smile. I have a cool Mom who remembers some weird obscure shit from my childhood.
I'm not really sure why I'm writing about this, but sometimes you just have to stop and realize I have cool parents and everytime I hang with my Mom, she surprises me more and more. I love you Mom, you're fucking awesome. (And if she ever finds out I used the f-word to describe her awesomeness, she'll probably beat the living shit out of me with a shoe.) Still, it's worth the risk.
While it's not nearly as good as the original Japanese opening, here's the show intro in Korean.

Sorry for the Long Delays
Sorry about the long delays in shows but my Fiancée and I decided it was finally time to buy a house and I forgot how much of your soul is drained away when your main focus is finding the perfect new home.
Good News: We bought our home! Huzzah!
Bad News: I'm stuck repairing, cleaning, and painting the new house while also packing the old home for the next few weeks getting ready for the big move. So that means all of my equipment eg: game room, arcade room, living room, basically everything I like to tinker will be getting disassembled and packed away. I own a lot of crap and I'm slow as hell packing all that crap.
On the positive side, Adam said he would step up and get some of the previously recorded shows edited for me so I can post those as soon as they are completed. So I guess I better get him those files asap.
As always, thank you for checking out my humble little piece of the internet and to the handful of you who listen to our show, Y'all are pretty rad as well.
