Part List for Making your own Fightstick from Scratch

Making joysticks or fight sticks can be a daunting task if you have never done it before. I was building a pair of game specific joysticks for "Buriki One" and decided to just make a video documenting the process. Granted, I stained the box and pre-drilled where I want the buttons and joystick to be to conserve time but all in all this should be a nice first step for someone wanting to build a controller for themselves.

Please note: The controller in this video is for my supergun, which is an external box that plays arcade boards and the controller ports are set to arcade specs, so I do not need a controller pcb. Hardwiring the Neo-Geo extension cable to the fightstick components will work fine for this specific setup. If you are looking to build a fightstick for the Xbox 360/One and PS3/4, I strongly recommend just buying a Brooks Universal Fighting Board. Also, SlagCoin where you want to go for your joystick template.

I have linked all of the parts used in this video below. Mixed and match however you want. I personally used the IL joysticks because I wanted to save a few bucks and I didn't want to invest too much on a joystick that I will be using for only one game. I plan on building a Neo-Geo controller using all Japanese components in the near future so stay tune for that.

This week is a three man show with Russ, Adam and myself, Nathan. We started catching up on new TV that drop this month and I was super excited to talk about Star Trek Discovery, but sadly I was the only one who saw it. We move on to more recommendations from Russ and me and eventually we do some last minute gaming discussion. Also Adam and Russ is pushing hard the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse so I'll need to get on that...
Anyway, enjoy this week's show and  take care!!!

Twitching

So one of the things I decided to do this new year is to stream more and maybe one of these days, get enough followers to make a few bucks to support my gaming habit. I'm still working out hiccups on my setup, because I love to make things overly complicated for me, but I think I'm getting close to a sense of stability that I am happy with.

One of the biggest hurdles for me is to keep myself engaged with the chat. You would think doing a podcast would help me talk but I have a hard time talking by myself. I'm one of those guys who can go all day and not say a word when I'm home alone. If it weren't for my dogs, I could probably go on days and not say a word.

Basically, I want to focus on the lesser known titles and more obscure games and consoles, while also playing games that I love. I attempted a 3DO stream, a few weeks ago, and it was a disaster because, God those games are not fun to play, but I don't want my channel to be just stupid shit no one cares about, so I'll probably play some of my childhood favorites and also document a few projects I'm working on like building a custom "Buriki One" joysticks and a new Neo-Geo joystick.

Anyways, I'm looking for some feedback and maybe a couple of follows or fifty.
So check out my Channel over on Twitch. it's time to break out of my comfort zone with video games.

Enjoy my rusty playthrough of the original arcade board of  "Rival Schools: United by Fate."
